"I think you missed the point."
Don't get me wrong. This animation WAS good, but you missed the point. You see, it's in the Swearbear Collection but there wasn't the large quantity of extreme swearwords thyat made it "Swearbear". It had a lot of sexual themes, one of them was doing drugs, and the bear that vomited blood was very adult, but there wasn't much swearing. If you could add more swearing in a sequel, I'd appreciate that.
On a lighter note, I loved the song and the animation was good., and the farting bear was funny. I say it's worth 6/10. It was decent, but missed some key things that stopped it from being a Swearbear cartoon. Good job with the song!

Red and Yuffie are underrated and Cloud, Vincent and Sephiroth are overrated. So you did that idea after all?
To those who STILL complain about the graphics: It's his drawing style, and it's not over-used anime style graphics.
The best joke was with Square Enix thinking of game ideas, then when that guy suggested doing something other than FF7, he got shot! It is so true! Too bad Squaresoft will never touch FF4, FF8 or FF6 ever again.
Again, congratulations on a splendid flash! Keep up the good work.

"Where is your brilliant god now, punks?"
I liked the first one and this is an awesome addition to your flash movies. Again, I liked the graphics and the story, and the fanboys dressed as FF characters are a nice touch (cosplayers are as pathetic as fanboys, though actually they often are fanboys).
Serious question though: did you actually get hatemail? If you did get hatemail, I'm not really surprised; Sephiroth fanboys are among the most irritable fanboys around. They actually believe he is some god who deserves universal respect; no wonder they get so offended when someone speaks against him.
I've almost nothing negative to say about this flash except two things:
A) It could've been longer.
B) You could kill another character, preferably non-FF.
Can you please consider killing off Link from Legend Of Zelda? It would be great fun. Thank you for blessing Newgrounds with more fun flash.
Author's Response:
Thank you! Yes, I did in fact receive some hatemail, in addition to hordes or negative reviews. Some of the lines of dialogue from the cosplayers are yanked directly from bad reviews I got.
And about Link; I already took him down a notch in my Zelda Collection from 2005. Actually, my portrayal of Sephiroth was based directly on my parody of Link.

"Pretty good, considering you made it in one day."
Graphics: 4/10
The sprites were not well animated but I liked the character cameos like Chaos, the final boss from Sonic Adventure. Also I liked the way you used the dojo from The Matrix. The fight scene was well choreographed with everyone jumping around slicing each other up.
Style: 7/10
Again the cameos were awesome; as were the Star Wars and The Matrix references. They way they fought with lightsabers, the bullet-time effects and the dojo was all reminiscent of those two movies. And the way they made fun of Tails was good, though overdone.
Sound: 4/10
The Matrix music was cool, but if you have a mic, you should add voice actors. Only rarely do people want to read during a movie.
Violence: 6/10
Sure it was kinda violent, but they were armed with lightsabers. Why no flying limbs?
Interactivity: 0/10
The 0/10 means I didn't rate it.
Humour: 5/10
It was humourous how Tails got the crap beat out of him, and although he survived the ordeal, he was killed anyway. Lol
Overall: 5/10
Not bad for a movie that was made in 24 hours, but not far from awesome. It would be a good idea to kill off more people from Sonic.
To bigtailsfan1995:
You fangirls really need to learn to laugh. Just because he killed your god... I mean favourite game character doesn't automatically mean he hates it. If I only made fun of things I hated, you'd only hear about Megaman.
Although I do agree with you that people need to kill more annoying characters, like Shadow and Big and Chris (Sonic X). But go with Big or Chris; last time I made fun of Shadow in a review, some asshole named MartyTheDog wrote a review telling me to burn in hell. When I get a 13 year old telling me to die because I made fun of a video game character on the Internet, I seriously doubt today's youth.

"Forget Burnt Face Man, FFMIB, and MGS Crab Battle."
This is the TRUE funny flash cartoon on Newgrounds.
Graphics: 7/10
Even though the characters all looked like crack addicts, it reminds me of drawing style of those wacky cartoons like Ren and Stimpy. The animation was a remarkable achievement as well.
Style: 10/10
I do have to appauld you for your bravery; most people who dare speak against Sephiroth on the internet often get flamed more than a guy on an extreme version of Jackass. I never really liked Sephiroth anyway; he gets far too much fan obsession. I don't see what's so special about him. But who was the guy who handed his ass to him?
Sound: 9/10
I like the voice acting. Truly work that would make the voice talents of South Park and Beavis and Butthead proud. And the music was okay too.
Violence: 7/10
Poor Sephiroth... He can no longer have children. Not after that. Plus him dying and all that.
Humour: 10/10
This is where you really shine. I tell you now that this is funnier than all the episodes of "Burnt Face Man", all the episodes of "Final Fantasy Mixed In Balamb", all the episodes of "Tails and his GBA" and MGS Crab Battle put together. It was that funny...
Overall: 9/10
One of the best, if not THE best things to come from the portal for a long time. I sincerely hope this doesn't get blammed or I will track down those messed up kids and kill their mothers, fathers, siblings and even their pets. Good luck with your flash.

"You've asked a good question there, buddy..."
Why do they call it "Final Fantasy" if they have around 21 games (not including the Kingdom Hearts series and "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" and "Final Fantasy Spirits Within") in that franchise?
The answer is; back in the good ol' days of gaming, Square was a small failing company that had enough money for one more game. This last game of Square was called "Final Fantasy" because it really was FINAL. However, many people loved the game and Final Fantasy saved the company's ass. A few games and years later and now we can enjoy the series.
I don't normally include Kingdom Hearts as the Final Fantasy series. That is overrated; sure it's a good game, but I feel it's very cheap to make a game sell by putting Final Fantasy cameos into the game. Basically the game has made so much money because of the FF cameos... that's it.
My bet is they won't go past FF15. In fact, I've heard a rumour saying FF13 will be the last numbered one, but I don't know if this is true. Then again, it's Squares flagship franchise, so it would be tantamount to Sega suddenly saying they'll stop making Sonic once and for all. It may not happen, but it may.
As for your flash, it was kinda funny.
Graphics: 5/10
It was all hand-drawn and quite good quality. Nothing impressive, but effective. I can recognize the characters enough.
Style: 8/10
As I've said earlier in the review, you asked some great questions. I liked the one where you asked "how come characters can summon their weapons out of thin air?" Another good one I know is "how come a Final Fantasy hero/heroine can carry 99 Potions and 99 Hi-potions but is never able to carry 100, no matter how many other items they have?" and "Why do wolves and dragons carry money with them?"
Sound: 7/10
Beavis and Butthead style voice acting rocks, dude. Music's good too.
Humour: 8/10
Yes, that's so funny. Asking some great questions to society. I appauld the jokes because they didn't include "gay jokes" or "Final Fantasy characters in random situations" jokes. Those are so freaking stereotypical of Flash authors. Glad you didn't follow them.
Overall: 7/10
A good idea would be to joke about how anything Final Fantasy related gets high scores. You've noticed anything that has the slightest relation to FF on this website gets on the Frontpage and in the Top 50? No? Look on the site and you'll see many game related flash that are overrated because they have game characters in them. Almost like Kingdom Hearts.
Lol, great flash.
BTW you're my 250th review.
Author's Response:
thnx for the review! And happy 250'th review! I only just got past my 100th
P.S. When I first bought Kingdom Hearts, I hadn't played a single FF game. Plus, I hardly knew it existed, let alone the fact that KH would have characters from it! HAVE FAITH IN THE STORYLINE!!!

You REALLY need help.
1) Get voice actors. No-one who's sane wants to read during a movie. Go and get a mic if you don't have one and get some voice acting in your next flash.
2) Never use gay jokes in a cartoon. These once funny gags have been used to death by animators and now using a gay joke subliminally implies your own homosexual fantasies.
3) I'd never recommend sprites in a cartoon about a modern game. Even then I think you should learn to animate sprites; it's not hard.
4) Even though I appauld the fact you DIDN'T use FFVII, I must admit that you really made the FFX character's retarded. Don't watch so much Beavis and Butthead and you'll get a normal sense of humour.
So yeah, take my advice and you'll do fine.
Oh by the way: wizard00... I like FFX as well, but just because he makes fun of the game, doesn't mean you should take it freaking personally like the overprotective and lovesick fanpersons out there. Honestly, it's guys like you who give people a hatred/general distaste for the FF series.

I've seen pretty much every "revive aerith" cheat code in existance. To list some of my favourites:
1) Get 99 Tissues:
Go to the battle arena in the Gold Saucer and lose 99 times to get 99 tissues. Then go to the lake where you laid Aerith to rest and she'll come back to your party. Pretty plausible by my standards, actually.
2) Use Holy:
Cast Holy when you get it. Trouble is, you CAN'T get the Holy materia! Whoever thought that one up obviously hadn't played the game.
3) Be Mean To Tifa:
Probably thought up by Tifa-haters who wanted her to die instead. All you have to do is pick Aerith at every point where you pick between her and Tifa. Go on her date and be sure to use her in every possible battle without getting her killed. When it's time for Aerith to croak, Tifa will get in the way and die instead. Only succeeds in making Tifa pissed off though.
4) Level 99 Aerith:
Train Aerith to make her level 99. When she dies, Sephiroth will mess up the attempt to kill her and she'll live. My friend spent 70+ hours making Aerith that level and she still died. Don't try this one unless you want to get bored.
The most well-known way to get Aerith back in the party is with a certain gameshark code. But after this, she has no good weapons and the game crashes at certain cutscenes. I don't know the code though.
The premise of the flash is pretty good. Lovesick fanboys are pretty pathetic and they deserve to be lied to. I wouldn't revive Aerith even if I could; she was one of the characters that was there but wasn't truely needed. Although she was pretty hot.
Can you change that voice when (or if) you make a sequel? That was possibly the most annoying voice actor ever. And the sprites were pretty poorly animated, but I've never been a big fan of sprites anyway. I hope you make a sequel making fun of FF7's absurd amount of fan obsession. This was actually pretty cool. Make more.
Author's Response:
Haha, nice. I've heard some of those, too.
Anyway, thanks for the review! I'm not sure which voice you're referring to-- if it's the "Katrina Von Mortimer" one,un sorry. I'll definitely take that as a note...the other two are my brother and sister, who are a little bit harder to control. Harhar. But, don't worry, I'll get 'em!
On the third note, I wasn't planning on making a sequel in the near future. Perhaps when I finish some other projects, and if the demand is high enough, I will consider another one.

I've just started watching that show. It's awesome. The way you changed the opening sequence to make the relevant characters was pretty cool. I've not seen much FMA but it's looking like a cool anime... Almost a candle-holder to DBZ. Yeah you should make a lot of opening's to anime shows with Sonic. I don't usually like anime but FMA kicks ass with Sonic. One thing: who's the guy who appears after Rouge? I don't think I've seen him before.
